Use a loofah mitt, a washcloth, or your hand to apply to skin. If you find the salt or sugar to harsh on your skin, rinse and only use the oil to continue. Once you are well scrubbed, rinse thoroughly.
DIY Gift Ideas #3: Homemade Vanilla Extract This gift is great for the chef or foodie in your life!
3 Vanilla beans
Good Bourbon
Jar
How to make:
Use 3 vanilla beans per jar and add bourbon. Then let it age, 2 months is best. Simply make a tag with a "You can start using" date label.
DIY Gift Ideas #4: Soy Candles
Natural Soy Wax
Natural Candle Wicks
Small Jars
Orange, Lemongrass and Lemon Essential Oils
Large Measuring Cup
Tape
Hole punch
How to Make:
Fill a large measuring cup or microwavable glass container with the soy wax and microwave, checking and stirring every 30 seconds.
Once the wax is melted mix 10-15 drops of essential oils. Add more or less oil depending on how strongly you would like the candle to smell. Have your jars ready and pour in the wax.
To make sure that your wicks stay in place, hole punch the middle a piece of tape and secure the tape to the top of the jar.
Then simply lower the wick through the hole and let the candle dry. Drying can take a couple hours or leave them overnight. To finish trim the wick and close the lid!
